Unfortunately, some of these posts are misleading and contain edited content. This fact check focuses on one such misleading video which was created using a series of unrelated footage.

1. Video Compilation from Various Sources: Our analysis found that the viral video does not accurately represent the current weather conditions in the Philippines. It is a compilation of multiple videos taken from various countries, some of which are from past events unrelated to the Philippines. This compilation has been edited and altered to create a sensational and misleading impression of the current weather situation.
Let`s consider the component of altered videos.
The first 10 seconds of the viral video were created from a video which was taken from the YouTube channel, which is famous for creating altered videos about weather patterns and natural disasters.
In the above video, we can see a tornado behind a building.
But, in the actual video, which was recorded in 2016 at Jacksonville Beach, Florida, USA, there is no such scene of Tornado. It only depicts the heavy strom condition as a result of Hurricane Mathew. We found that another part of this viral video related to the Tornado in the Andover, Kansas, area in May 2022.

Another part of the video is related to harsh weather conditions in Chinese territory. It shows a storm hit the Taihang Mountain Grand Canyon in Shanxi. Hundreds of tourists gathered together to avoid danger. The original video can be watched here.

As of September, there are no cyclone alerts or reports of severe weather conditions in the Philippines. The country is not experiencing the extreme weather depicted in the viral video.
